Job summary

Host My Home is seeking a Property Operations Manager for Queenstown. This hybrid role combines working from home with on‑site management across our Queenstown portfolio.

You will own day‑to‑day operations, work with housekeeping, maintenance and contractors, and ensure smooth guest and owner experiences while keeping operations aligned with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule weekly operations using Breezeway.
• Oversee the housekeeping team and supervisor.
• Monitor housekeeping performance and staffing needs.
• Lead property maintenance and contractor follow-up.
• Coordinate onboarding of new properties and tasks.
• Manage bookings and screening processes.
• Oversee OTA listings (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo).
• Add new properties to the Host My Home website.
• Maintain overview of rates, occupancy and upcoming bookings.
• Coordinate staff training and onboarding.
• Oversee health and safety in operations.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and provide weekly reporting.

Host My Home is a locally owned boutique property management company specialising in short-term holiday accommodation throughout Queenstown.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to our guests and property owners while maintaining high standards across our growing portfolio of homes.

We’re looking for a Property Operations Manager to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our property portfolio.

About the Role

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining working from home with being on the ground across our Queenstown properties.

You’ll work closely with our General Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, housekeeping team and contractors to keep daily operations running smoothly.

We need someone who can see what needs to be done, confidently make decisions, delegate effectively and follow things through to completion.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and scheduling weekly operations using Breezeway
• Overseeing the housekeeping team alongside our Housekeeping Supervisor
• Monitoring housekeeping performance and identifying staffing requirements
• Leading and delegating property maintenance and following up contractors
• Coordinating the onboarding of new properties and ensuring all tasks are completed
• Booking management and screening
• Overseeing Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and other OTA listings
• Adding new properties to the Host My Home website
• Maintaining an overview of property rates, occupancy and upcoming bookings
• Coordinating staff training and onboarding
• Overseeing operational health and safety
• Identifying and resolving operational issues before they escal
• Providing weekly operational reporting to the General Manager

About You

This role is all about ownership, communication and being proactive.

• Builds strong relationships with staff, contractors, guests and property owners

• Is confident using technology and learning new systems
• Holds a valid New Zealand driver's licence

Previous experience in property management, short-term accommodation, hospitality, operations or team leadership would be highly regarded.

Experience with Breezeway, Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or similar platforms would be an advantage.
