Job summary

ConneXu Whanau is seeking an experienced property and asset leader to head our Property & Fleet team in Auckland. You will drive the 12-month maintenance programme, plan asset renewals, and use cost data to shape practical, forward-looking plans across our housing and vehicle portfolio.

You'll visit properties, work with landlords and contractors, and guide a team to deliver clear, affordable outcomes. Applicants must have NZ work rights.

Qualifications

• Substantial property, facilities or physical asset management experience.
• Practical experience with buildings, maintenance, contractors and capital works.
• Sound financial and commercial judgement.
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence using asset and financial information to support decisions.
• Experience leading people.

We’re looking for an experienced property or asset professional who wants the opportunity to lead a team, build on what’s working well and shape what comes next.

With around 60 homes, a significant vehicle fleet and services across the Waikato, King Country, Bay of Plenty and Lakes regions, this is a varied role with real scope to shape how we manage and plan for our property and fleet portfolio.

Job Description

You’ll lead a capable Property & Fleet team and bring a practical, forward-looking approach to how we manage our properties and vehicles.

Some days that will mean solving an immediate property issue. Others will be about looking ahead: building our 12-month maintenance programme, planning asset renewals and replacements, analysing costs and options, and helping shape our longer-term property and fleet plans.

You won’t be doing that from behind a desk. You’ll work with teams across ConneXu, visit our properties, build relationships with landlords and contractors, and use good information to help us make practical decisions

Desired Skills and Experience
