Job summary

Contact Energy (Te Mata Hiko) in New Zealand is seeking a Project Manager to lead a portfolio of generation projects from planning through to delivery. You will coordinate engineers, contractors, and operational teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery and long-term value for renewable assets.

You’ll bring engineering credentials and extensive programme management experience, plus the ability to mentor others, navigate regulated environments and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with significant experience leading large-scale infrastructure/energy projects.
• Experience using project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong programme management capability and mentoring experience.
• Experience in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of generation projects from planning to delivery.
• Coordinate engineers, contractors, operations and stakeholders to deliver safely and on time.
• Manage risk, build alignment, and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Mentor teams and shape how projects are delivered across the generation portfolio.
