Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Canterbury is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex mechanical delivery across water, wastewater, industrial services and process infrastructure. You will work with electrical and civil teams to deliver integrated, safe projects from design coordination to handover.

You should have a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 3 years in a PM role delivering multi-disciplinary scopes over $30M, plus strong programme management, procurement, cost control and stakeholder

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years in Project Manager level delivering mechanical/civil scope over $30M
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or operational lines
  • Experience with project programming tools (MS Project, CCS preferrable)
  • Strong understanding of NZS 3910 processes: claims, variations, delays, formal notices
  • Strong financial acumen: cost tracking, forecasting, claims, variations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge, commissioning and operational completion
  • Commitment to Health & Safety leadership
  • Willingness to travel to Central Otago as required

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of mechanical projects from procurement through to handover
  • Manage programmes, sequencing, and look-ahead schedules
  • Oversee procurement planning, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning
  • Maintain cost to complete forecasting and value-for-money decisions
  • Provide project reporting, forecasting and commercial oversight
  • Review vendor documentation and project records; ensure QA and ITPs
  • Ensure mechanical completion, as-built info and client handover documentation

**Mō te tūranga | About the role**This is an expressin of interest, for a **Project Manager** that is able tolead complex, high-impact mechanical across the **Canterbury Region** with us at Fulton Hogan.With current projects and future tendered work, the scope spans across water and wastewater, industrial services, and process infrastructure sectors, with strong integration between **mechanical, electrical, civil, structural,** and **controls disciplines**. We’re interested in people from high-complexity industrial and civil environments who are confident managing multidisciplinary systems.You’ll be someone that is able to **lead deliver mechanical engineering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.** Working closely with electrical and civil teams to deliver complex, integrated solutions. You will hold strong programme management, subcontractor coordination, procurement, cost control, commissioning, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead projects from design coordination through to handover.
