Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Project Manager, Construction in Nelson to lead a high-performing team and drive the delivery of civil infrastructure projects up to $10m. You will oversee planning, procurement, safety and stakeholder engagement on site.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background, 5–10 years of roading/construction experience, and strong leadership with a commercial mindset. Competitive remuneration and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Diploma and/or relevant industry experience.
• Roading and Construction experience (5-10 years).
• Significant project experience in civil infrastructure and roading.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the projects team in the successful execution and delivery of construction projects (up to $10m).
• Manage contract administration, understand contractual requirements and expectations.
• Set performance expectations with Foremen/Supervisors and construction crews and monitor performance.
• Ensure forward planning, ordering of subcontractors, materials, plant and people to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to other duties or projects as reasonably requested.

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join Fulton Hogan. Based in Nelson, this role offers the change to become part of our high performing contracting team. Role Accountabilities

• Lead the projects team in the successful execution and delivery of construction projects (up to $10m)
• Manage and direct contract administration, understand contractual requirements and expectations
• Set performance expectations with Foremen/ Supervisors and construction crews. Monitor performance and address any issues with the assistance of the Divisional Manager
• Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies, material, plant and people at all times to eliminate down time on the job
• You’ll also contribute in any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested

What you’ll bring to the table

• Civil Engineering Diploma and/or relevant industry experience
• Roading and Construction experience (5-10 years)
• Significant project experience in civil infrastructure and roading
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage great relationships with clients and stakeholders
