Job summary

HEB Construction in New Zealand is seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to drive project management for IT programs across the business. You will own the project management framework and promote its adoption to ensure consistent delivery.

As the link between business needs and technology, you will guide initiatives from discovery through to implementation, keeping projects on track, enabling continuous improvement, and delivering outcomes that align with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

5+ years relevant experience in an IT environment.
Experience with providing project management across IT solutions.
Understanding of complex business processes with data interpretation and decision-making.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Drive project management for IT-related programs across the business.

HEB Construction is a dynamic and innovative leader in the construction of New Zealand's Infrastructure. We are involved with a variety of projects from road construction and maintenance through to earthworks, drainage, marine works, and major projects of national significance.

We are seeking a dynamic professional to drive project management for IT-related programs across our business. In this role, you will own and continuously improve our project management framework to ensure effective delivery, while leading and promoting its adoption across the organisation.

You will ensure the project is on track and aligned with business goals by promoting and utilising relevant project management collateral.

As the link between business needs and tech solutions, you will guide initiatives from discovery through to implementation, always focused on driving successful outcomes and continuous improvement.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a drive for end-to-end project success and will bring the following qualities:

At least 5 years relevant experience in an IT environment
Experience with providing project management across IT solutions
Understanding of complex business processes and is able to identify areas for improvement, including understanding data, interpreting trends, and making informed decisions
Good understanding of technology and how it can be applied to solve business problems
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
