Job summary

Draftline - Architectural Designers in Christchurch is seeking experienced Project Leads / Design Technicians to own projects from concept through consent and completion.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate consultants and internal teams, and ensure designs meet the NZ Building Code and deadlines. Hands-on Archicad experience and strong communication are essential to deliver high-quality, build-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Minimum LBP Class 1 – Design qualification – essential.
• Proven experience producing detailed architectural drawings and documentation for residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial client engagement through design, consent and completion.
• Coordinate consultants and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure plans comply with NZ Building Code and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong client relationships and manage expectations throughout the process.
