Job summary

Higgins in Hamilton seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead planning, design and delivery of temporary traffic management solutions across infrastructure projects.

You'll prepare TMPs, coordinate with authorities and teams, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery. Five years' experience in roading or traffic management and a tertiary engineering/PM qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Traffic Management, Project Management, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least five years' experience on construction, infrastructure, roading or traffic management projects.
• Proven experience preparing TMPs and working with approval authorities and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of NZ traffic management standards and project delivery.
• Experience coordinating teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to meet programme outcomes.
• Budgets, forecasts, cost control and project reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and delivery of temporary traffic management solutions across multiple projects.
• Prepare and manage TMPs, traffic staging plans and design documentation.
• Coordinate approvals with Road Controlling Authorities, councils and stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets, resources, milestones and commercial performance.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, planners and operations.
• Drive safety, quality and compliance across traffic management activities.
