Job summary

Beca in Invercargill is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Industrial team, supporting a growing long-term portfolio of regional industrial work. This site-based role offers real responsibility, strong client exposure and the backing of Beca's nationwide capability.

You will lead sustaining capital and larger regional projects for dairy and heavy industries, with end-to-end ownership and the autonomy to make decisions on scope, schedule and cost.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience ideally within industrial brownfield or operational environments.
• Experience managing projects up to $5 million, including scope, programme, cost and risk.
• The ability to work independently in a regional delivery environment.
• A client-focused, practical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regional industrial projects with end-to-end ownership and autonomy.
• Lead project delivery, including scope, programme, cost and risk management.
• Work closely with dairy and heavy industry clients across Southland.
• Provide hands-on leadership in brownfield and regional projects.

You'll work closely with key Southland-based clients across the dairy and heavy industries, delivering a mix of sustaining capital and larger regional industrial projects.
