Job summary

Verbrec is seeking a Project Engineer to join our New Plymouth-based team, contributing to renewable energy transitions, water and waste infrastructure projects in New Zealand. You will work on brownfield and greenfield assignments across oil & gas, water and renewables, coordinating multi-discipline teams and managing project controls.

You will engage stakeholders, draft progress reports, and support tender processes while leveraging scheduling and document management tools to deliver safe,

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years' experience in engineering projects.
  • Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals.
  • Proven planning, scheduling and monitoring of projects.
  • Experience preparing tender documents and managing tender processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Draft fortnightly reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Assist in management of variations, TQ, RFI and risk registers.
  • Monitor and report project progress against timelines and KPIs.
  • Identify risks and develop control strategies.
  • Interface between engineers, sub-contractors and stakeholders for delivery.
  • Use scheduling and document management tools to track performance.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Assist with project control duties including evaluating scope changes.
