Job summary

Verbrec seeks a Project Engineer to join our renewable energy and infrastructure teams in New Plymouth. You will work on wastewater/water and three waters projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree (mechanical, process or piping) and 5–10 years of experience, with strong communication and project control skills. We offer a beachside office and opportunity to travel across Taranaki and Australia.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• 5–10 years’ experience across multi-discipline projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
• Experience in planning, scheduling and project control.

Responsibilities

• Draft fortnightly reporting for key stakeholders and monitor project progress.
• Manage variations, RFI and action registers and update risk matrix.
• Coordinate between engineering team members, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and support tender processes.
