Job summary

HEB Construction, part of VINCI Construction, is delivering the Datagrid AI Data Centre development in Makarewa, Invercargill. We seek an experienced Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and deliver critical outcomes on a large-scale heavy civil project with earthworks, drainage, roading and environmental management.

You will develop construction programmes, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, review drawings and methodologies, manage procurement and costs, monitor productivity and maintain

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience across earthworks, drainage, infrastructure, roading or major construction projects.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness and cost management capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify problems, develop solutions and drive outcomes.
• A commitment to quality, safety and environmental excellence.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing construction programmes
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
• Managing procurement and resource planning
• Monitoring project costs and productivity
• Maintaining quality assurance systems and documentation
• Driving health, safety and environmental compliance
• Identifying and managing project risks
• Supporting project reporting and stakeholder communications
• Providing engineering support to construction teams
• Assisting with commissioning and project handover activities
