Colt Products & Systems is a division of Aquaheat New Zealand Limited and manufactures louvres, ventilators and othersmoke control/natural ventilation product.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a great team based in Auckland .Reporting to the Engineering/Project Manager, the purpose of this role is to support the Project Teams including manufacturing facility by providing drafting, technical, project Engineering services required to service our clients in aprofessional and timely manner.
About the role:
- Provide technical project engineering and draughting support across sales, manufacturing, and site delivery teams
- Prepare accurate CAD drawings, 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and installation details using Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD or any other CAD software to support manufacturing and installation
- Support project coordination to ensure solutions meet client requirements, budgets, and timelines
- Contribute to technical discussions, provide advice, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with project reporting, hazard identification, and compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager,Project Manager, National Manager, Sales Engineers, production staff, contractors, and customers
- Help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard nationwide
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing and construction Industry
- CAD Proficiency: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as Inventor, Fusion 360 and AutoCAD or other CAD software, is essential.
- NZQA Recognition: If you have overseas qualifications, they need to be assessed and recognized by the New
- Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
- Mid-Level: 3-5 years of experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in mechanical design and draughting.
- Mid -Level: Over 5 years of experience, including project management and roles in mechanical draughting.
- Knowledge of Engineering Principles: Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and sheet metalmanufacturing processes.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and diligence in creating technical drawings and specifications.
- Programming experience, particularly with VBA or VB.NET, would be an advantage but is not essential
