Qualifications

• 12+ years in programme management, construction planning or scheduling on large infrastructure or civil projects.
• Extensive experience managing complex project programmes.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and engineering-led project delivery.
• Proven experience leading a planning function and mentoring planning professionals.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders.

• Lead the planning function, guiding a team of two planners.
• Partner with construction and engineering teams to develop practical delivery sequences.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and identify risks, delays, and recovery opportunities.
• Deliver programme governance, reporting, forecasting and schedule analysis to support project decisions.

About The Role

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall programme management and planning function for Te Awa Kairangi. Leading a team of planners, you'll work closely with construction and engineering leaders to ensure project sequencing, forecasting and reporting support successful project delivery. Your expertise will help identify opportunities to improve productivity, manage programme risks and optimise delivery outcomes.

• Partner with construction and engineering teams to develop practical, achievable delivery sequences

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• 12+ years' experience in programme management, construction planning or scheduling on large infrastructure or civil projects

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.
