Job summary

Opal is seeking an afternoon shift Production Team Member for our Hornby, Christchurch plant. You will assist in operating the corrugator and printing departments and be part of a high-performing team delivering quality cardboard packaging on time.

You should have a good understanding of OH&S/WHS, be reliable and eager to learn, with strong attention to detail and basic computer skills; a full NZ driver license is preferred.

• Detail-oriented with focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate the corrugator and printing departments on all aspects.
• Assist in running the Christchurch plant to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and standard work practices.
• Follow production workflows and quality checks.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve on-time, in-spec products.

Production Team Member - Afternoon Shift

We are looking for an afternoon shift team member to join our Corrugated (Cardboard Box Packaging) Factory based in Hornby, Christchurch . This role is expected to assist in the operation and running of the corrugator and printing departments on all aspects. You will be part of a high preforming team and will contribute to the operation of the Christchurch Plant to achieve high quality product that can be delivered to our customers in full, on time and within specification.

Monday to Friday with most public holidays off (depending on demand)

Afternoon shift (3.50pm - 11.50pm)

Skills & experience

An excellent understanding of, and commitment to HSE requirements

Reliable and willingness to learn and develop

A self-motivated, keen and energetic personality

Excellent attention to detail for quality purposes

Able to competently use a computer

Full clean driver license preferable as F Endorsement may be required for certain roles

Experience in manufacturing production, ideally from within the packaging industry is preferable but not essential
