George Weston Foods (NZ) Limited is seeking a Production Team Leader for Bun & Roll Wrapping at the Wiri Bakery. This full-time role leads the team to deliver safe, high-quality products while maintaining people safety and production standards.

You'll develop your team through on-the-job training, ensure technical processes are followed, and collaborate with the Despatch team to hand over finished goods. This role supports growth and upskilling within a busy bakery environment in New Zealand.

Competenze

• Leadership experience in manufacturing or production.
• FMCG experience preferred.

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to joinour Bun & Roll Wrapping team at our Wiri Bakery. This is a full-time,permanent position, working Thursday to Monday, 12.30pm–10.00pm.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsibleforleading the team to deliver safe, high-quality products while ensuring ourpeople safety, food safety and production standards are consistently met.

You’ll play an important role in building the capability andknowledge of your team, reinforcing the required checks and processes, andensuring products are ready to be handed over to the Despatch team withconfidence.

Key accountabilities of this position include:

• Lead, support and develop team members,including coordinating on-the-job training through our buddy system.
• Ensure the team understands and follows therequired technical processes, escalating issues when needed.
• Ensure products are produced and packed to therequired quality and specification.
• Champion Health & Safety, ensuringrequirements and procedures are consistently followed.
• Maintain high Food Safety standards and addressany issues as they arise.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching andperformance management to support team performance and development.
• Lead shift Food Safety Quality checks, alongwith weekly Safety Walks.
• Build team capability, accountability andknowledge to support consistent performance and reinforce our commitment tobeing the “Most Trusted Brand.”

About You:

• Brings energy, enthusiasm and a positiveapproach to leadership.
• Has previous leadership experience within amanufacturing or production environment, with FMCG experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills and enjoysdeveloping others.
• Is confident training and coaching people on thejob.
• Has strong time-management skills and caneffectively manage multiple priorities.
• Communicates clearly and confidently, bothverbally and in writing.
• Is physically able to work on their feet andundertake the lifting requirements of the role, including lifting up to 25kg.
• Is passionate about producing safe,superior-quality food for New Zealand communities.

Please note thatweoperate7 days perweek across the site,andthere may be opportunities for overtime. We are only closed on Christmas Dayand Easter Friday; all other public holidays are worked as normal days.
