Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty is recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join a Christchurch-based factory. The role is hands-on, leading a 2-3 person team on the factory floor and operating machinery with full training provided.

Hours are 06:00AM – 02:30PM, Monday to Friday, with a strong emphasis on health & safety and hygiene in food packaging and PPE environments. Responsibilities include supervising the team, operating various machinery, and completing reporting and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a factory-based environment.
• Direct experience with working in an ISO certified factory is beneficial.
• Supervisory/team leader experience is required.
• Possess a keen and positive attitude.
• Must be able to work alone and in a team.
• Thorough with good attention to detail.
• Great computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
• Good communication and able to work in a multicultural team environment.
• Keen attitude to learn and to be a team player.
• Physically fit as this is a manual role.
• Willingness to be able to lend a hand where required and understand that no two days may be the same.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Production Team Leader

About the Role

We are looking for a new staff member to join our factory based in Wigram. We are looking for a Production Team Leader/Supervisor to join our small-knit team. You will be leading a small team of 2-3 people on the factory floor. Please note that this role is still hands‑on and you will be working in the factory environment operating machinery to manufacture our products. You will be operating a variety of machinery (which you will receive full training on) as well as completing necessary reporting and paperwork. The hours for this role are 06:00AM – 02:30PM Monday – Friday. Please note that as we are manufacturing food packaging and PPE, the importance of Health and Safety and Hygiene is critical in this role.

Skills & Experience
