Job summary

DKW Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Production Team Leader for a busy Christchurch manufacturing operation. This hands-on role centers on safe, efficient production and delivering quality targets.

You will lead, motivate and coordinate daily activities, monitor performance, maintain records and train staff to standards, reporting to production management and collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Previous team leader, supervisor or senior production experience.
• Experience within manufacturing, production or a similar industrial environment.
• Strong people leadership and communication skills.
• Good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
• Confident using computers and completing production documentation.
• Practical, organised and able to problem-solve.
• Self-driven with the ability to take ownership of the shift and team.
• Reliable and committed to achieving high production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support production team members.
• Coordinate daily production activities and workflow.
• Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor product quality and operational performance.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Identify and assist with production or equipment issues.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Allocate work and ensure appropriate staffing across production.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete computer-based reporting.
• Train and support team members to achieve required standards.
• Communicate effectively with production management and other departments.
