Job summary

Pact Packaging - Steel Division, part of Pact Group, seeks a Production Supervisor for its Avondale site in New Zealand. The role leads frontline teams, drives safety, and delivers production targets while fostering a culture of engagement and accountability.

You will coach teams, coordinate daily activities, monitor performance and implement improvements, contributing to the ongoing success of a well-established manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Proven ability to coach and develop frontline teams.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Strong communication across levels to influence and engage stakeholders.
• Sound health and safety understanding and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop production team members to create a safe, engaged and high-performing workplace culture.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet operational, quality, service and efficiency targets.
• Drive health, safety and environmental practices and promote proactive safety culture.
• Monitor production performance and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
• Act as the link between frontline teams and site leadership for clear communication.
• Support workforce planning, labour utilisation, inventory control and resource allocation.
• Provide leadership support to the Operations Manager to maintain continuity.
