Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the senior management team and coordinate factory operations, customers, and office teams. You will be the critical link ensuring information flows, projects move forward, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong organisation, commercial awareness, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Production Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, production, or operational environments.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to confidently engage with customers, production teams, and senior management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operational activities across the business.
  • Act as the primary link between the factory, customers, and office teams.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to implement business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure customer commitments are delivered on time.
  • Manage workflow and communication between departments to maximise efficiency.
  • Identify operational improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support planning, resource allocation, and capacity management.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and ensure a high level of service delivery.
  • Assist with problem-solving and issue resolution across production, logistics, and customer service.
  • Lead, mentor, and support team members to achieve business goals.
