COTTONSOFT is seeking Production Team Leaders to join our manufacturing operations in both Highbrook and Wiri, Auckland. These are a full-time positions that play a crucial role in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. As Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and supporting a team of production staff to meet quality standards, safety requirements and production targets. This role is instrumental in maintaining operational excellence and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing facility.
Leading and supervising a team of production staff, ensuring they are motivated, trained and performing to the highest standards
Monitoring production processes and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure products meet required specifications
Coordinating daily production schedules and allocating tasks to team members based on workload and expertise
Identifying and resolving operational issues quickly to minimise downtime and maintain production targets
Conducting regular team meetings to communicate objectives, provide feedback and address concerns
Training and mentoring production staff to develop their skills and prepare them for advancement opportunities
Maintaining accurate production records, reporting on performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement
Collaborating with other departments to support the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility
Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols
Proven experience as a Production Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control standards and health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop team members effectively
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
Strong problem solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
Proficiency in using production planning and scheduling systems
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous
A proactive approach to health and safety with a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing production demands
Relevant qualifications or certifications in production management, supervisory leadership or health and safety are desirable
