Job summary

Sensient Technologies New Zealand is seeking a dynamic Production Scheduler to balance supply and demand and keep the production floor moving smoothly. You will generate, schedule, and track work orders while coordinating with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, and Customer Service.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will navigate MRP messages, load forecasts, and collaborate with the Planning Manager to keep the system accurate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional-level work experience that showcases analytical mindset.
• Hands-on experience navigating MRP systems.
• JD Edwards Enterprise experience is highly preferred.
• Background or interest in Food Manufacturing processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily retrieval, analysis, and resolution of MRP messages to keep inventory and production aligned.
• Generate, schedule, and track Work Orders, ensuring teams know what to build and when.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, and Customer Service to communicate manufacture dates and resolve bottlenecks.
• Partner with Planning Manager to troubleshoot errant MRP messages and keep the system accurate.
• Load forecasts and support wider planning team on special projects as needed.

We are looking for a dynamic Production Scheduler to join our team. Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our operations—balancing supply and demand, turning raw data into actionable plans, and keeping our production floor moving smoothly.

As a key member of the Sensient team, you will be required to push boundaries and innovate onsite in the office, 5 days per week.

Daily retrieval, analysis, and resolution of MRP messages to keep inventory and production perfectly aligned.

Generate, schedule, and track Work Orders, ensuring every team member knows exactly what needs to be built and when.

Work hand‑in‑hand with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, and Customer Service to communicate manufacture dates and resolve bottlenecks.

Partner closely with the Planning Manager to troubleshoot errant MRP messages and keep the system accurate.

Collaborate with Quality and R&D teams to identify, validate, and action opportunities for product rework.

Load forecasts and take on special projects on an as‑needed basis to support the wider planning team.

About you

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional‑level work experience that showcases analytical mindset.

Hands‑on experience navigating MRP systems.

JD Edwards Enterprise experience is highly preferred.

Background or interest in Food Manufacturing processes is highly preferred.

Excellent communication skills to seamlessly liaise between multiple departments.

Authorized to work in New Zealand without the need for employment visa sponsorship.
