Job summary

Davin Industries Limited in Christchurch, NZ, is seeking a Production Scheduler to keep our precision sheet metal operations running at full pace. You will coordinate workflow across departments, balance priorities, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining accurate scheduling data.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will develop daily and weekly schedules, monitor capacity and WIP, lead planning discussions, and optimise use of ERP systems to enhance efficiency.

• Experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with capacity-constrained workflow awareness.
• Excellent communication to coordinate across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed daily, weekly and forward-looking production schedules across multiple manufacturing departments
• Balancing customer demand, labour availability, machine capacity and production priorities to keep work flowing efficiently
• Leading daily production planning discussions and coordinating workflow across the facility
• Managing urgent and expedited orders while minimising disruption to the broader production plan
• Reviewing production capacity, WIP levels and factory performance to continuously improve efficiency
• Maintaining accurate scheduling and production data within the ERP system

This is more than a scheduling role. You'll sit at the heart of our operation, coordinating workflow across multiple departments, managing production priorities, identifying bottlenecks before they occur, and helping drive on-time delivery performance across the business.

• Developing detailed daily, weekly and forward-looking production schedules across multiple manufacturing departments
