Job summary

Davin Industries is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our precision sheetmetal fabrication team in Canterbury. You will program and set CNC mills and lathes, read engineering drawings, and work with production to deliver high-quality components within tight tolerances.

The role suits someone with proven CNC experience, a background in sheetmetal or fabrication, and a disciplined, problem‑solving approach. CAD/CAM experience is advantageous and valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar CNC role.
• Background in sheetmetal or fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Organised, detail-oriented and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

• Programming and setting CNC mills and lathes.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Assist with maintaining punch and laser production as required.
• Producing high-quality precision components.
• Troubleshooting machining issues and improving processes.
• Working closely with production and engineering teams.
