Job summary

Davin Industries, a leading precision sheet metal engineering business and part of the Stratco Group, seeks a commercially minded Manager to nurture key client relationships and mentor a high‑performing internal sales team in Christchurch, NZ. You’ll be the trusted link between customers, engineering, manufacturing and leadership, driving growth with a customer‑first mindset.

Qualifications

• Trade or Sheetmetal background with leadership experience and strong customer service orientation.
• Experience in manufacturing/technical or fabrication environments with managing portfolios or strategic accounts.

At Davin Industries, We're looking for a commercially minded Manager to take responsibility for the effective management of several of our key clients. We're targeting a leader who thrives on building long-term partnerships, and one to mentor and develop a high-performing internal sales team.

You'll work closely with some of our most important customers, helping them succeed while driving sustainable growth across the business. You'll become the trusted link between our customers, engineering teams, manufacturing operations and leadership group.

Your role

You won't be spending your time constantly hunting for new work or chasing cold leads. Instead, your role will be focused on building and strengthening the relationships that already make Davin successful. Working closely alongside our General Manager, you will become a familiar and trusted "face of the business" for our valued customers.

Your broad responsibilities will include:

Who we're looking for

This role could suit an individual with an initial trade or Sheetmetal background, that has moved into a leadership role with excellent customer service skills and a customer first, solutions mindset. Alternatively, you'll likely come from a manufacturing, technical or fabrication environment and have experience managing customer portfolios or strategic accounts.
