Job summary

GIB® Plasterboard is seeking a hands-on Production Operator to join our Canterbury manufacturing team. You will work with computer-controlled equipment, perform routine checks, monitor process control, and help ensure continuous production of plasterboard.

We value mechanical and technical aptitude, strong accuracy, and safe work practices. Forklift experience and the ability to work autonomy within a team are highly regarded as you rotate between day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable mechanical or technical skills.
• Interest in computer-controlled equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Forklift experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine plant checks and operate semi-automated equipment.
• Monitor process control and the chemical and physical aspects of board production.
• Replenish additive lines and run machines to sustain production.
• Support quality assurance and report faults promptly.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple production demands.
