Job summary

Glenns Glass & Aluminium operates from Rotorua, North Island, and is an established aluminium window manufacturer with production facilities in Rotorua and Whakatane. We seek an experienced Factory & Production Coordinator to oversee Rotorua's production operations, coordinating planning, materials and workflow to meet quality and delivery dates.

The role is hands-on, requiring understanding of aluminium window manufacturing, close work with the branch manager, and collaboration with Sales,

Qualifications

• Experience in production management or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of aluminium window manufacturing and factory processes.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with production systems.
• Excellent communication with sales, production staff, suppliers and customers.
• Focus on Health and Safety, quality, productivity and meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day production operations of the Rotorua factory.
• Plan and maintain the production schedule, ensuring the workload accurately reflects available production capacity.
• Monitor production workload and available work hours and adjust priorities and schedules as needed.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure customer requirements and production commitments are understood.
• Coordinate with the Factory Foreman to manage factory schedules and production priorities.
• Liaise with builders, contractors, suppliers, installers and clients to manage deliveries and site work.
• Promote Glenns Glass & Aluminium’s policies, standardised systems and procedures.
• Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed throughout production operations.

Ideally, we want someone who:

• Has experience in a production management or a manufacturing environment.
• Has a good understanding of aluminium window manufacturing and factory processes.
• Has strong organisational and planning skills.
• Has good computer skills and is comfortable working with production and manufacturing systems.
• Has excellent communication skills and can work effectively with Sales, production staff, suppliers and customers.
• Has a strong focus on Health and Safety, quality, productivity and meeting customer requirements.

The successful candidate will need to be a genuine all-rounder, with the ability to move comfortably between production planning, computer systems, administration and customer service.

Pay rate will be reflective of the successful candidate’s knowledge and experience.
