Job summary

McKechnie Aluminium in New Plymouth, NZ, seeks a detail‑oriented Fabrication Costing Coordinator to support aluminium fabrication and CNC machining operations. You will deliver accurate costing, perform back costing, and maintain costing data to drive profitable production.

Key responsibilities include cost estimates, BOM management, process coordination with CNC operators and engineering, and variance analysis to support margin focus and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing costing, estimating, or production coordination.
• Knowledge of aluminium fabrication and/or CNC machining processes.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication across office and workshop environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and perform back costing with variance analysis.
• Monitor material usage and ensure alignment with job requirements.
• Process production orders and maintain ERP/MRP system data.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fabrication Costing Coordinator to support our aluminium fabrication and CNC machining operations. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, performing back costing, and maintaining costing data to support efficient and profitable production.

About the Role
