Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

We’re looking for a Production Coordinator to keep the administration behind our production operation moving.

This is a hands‑on coordination role supporting a 24-hour production operation from our Penrose site. You’ll keep production information and records up to date, stay on top of ordering and servicing, follow up QC and Checkmate® actions, coordinate compliance administration, and make sure agreed actions don’t get lost.

You’ll spend your time chasing, coordinating, recording and escalating — not making production decisions. The Production Manager and Operations Manager own production execution, quality decisions and commercial decisions. Your job is to make sure the information, systems and follow‑through around those decisions are kept under control.

The role is Monday to Friday, day shift, based at Penrose. It is not an on‑call or night‑shift role.

About the role

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Keeping production data in Envirotrac® accurate and up to date, including NFC and barcode follow‑up and day/night production reporting
  • Keeping the QC and Checkmate® queues visible and moving — making sure items have an owner, actions are followed up and overdue issues are escalated
  • Managing servicing, inspection and certification due dates and coordinating bookings with approved providers
  • Ordering approved consumables and fixing kits, tracking deliveries and escalating supply risks before they affect production
  • Matching invoices and keeping monthly finance administration on schedule
  • Maintaining health and safety records, scheduling required checks and auditing sole‑operator welfare logs
  • Administering timesheets and approving operational leave against agreed cover rules
  • Managing Concrete Club® administration, including memberships, cards, rewards and reconciliation
  • Keeping the Production Manager and Operations Manager informed when information is missing, deadlines are at risk or something needs a management decision
About you

You’ll suit this role if you’re an organised, practical operator who is comfortable being the person who keeps things moving and follows things through.

You’ll likely have experience in operational administration within production, maintenance, construction, logistics or a similar environment.

More importantly, you will:

  • Be comfortable working around a production plant, not just behind a desk
  • Be confident chasing an operator, supplier or contractor when something is overdue
  • Hold people to agreed deadlines without trying to take over their job
  • Know when to keep following up and when an issue needs to be escalated
  • Stay on top of records when shift information is incomplete or several sites need attention at once
  • Be comfortable working across systems and learning new ones — including Envirotrac®, Checkmate® and Employment Hero
  • Be competent with Microsoft 365
  • Take ownership of your own work and follow things through rather than waiting to be told
  • Have the right to work in New Zealand

You don’t need to be a production supervisor or planner. We’re looking for someone who understands operations, is comfortable around people and equipment, and is good at making sure the things behind production actually get done.

About Envirocon®

Envirocon® captures excess concrete and turns it into Interbloc®, Stonebloc® and Interbloc+® modular block systems.

Our operation includes a 24-hour production hub at Penrose, supported by collection yards across Auckland and sites in Horotiu and Tauranga.

We’re a practical, fast‑moving New Zealand business. We value people who take ownership, communicate clearly, follow through and get things done — without making things more complicated than they need to be.
