An Exciting 12-Month Opportunity to Influence the Future of Tower's House Products
As a proud Kiwi-owned insurer, we pride ourselves in challenging status quo - and move fast to make things happen. We're here to create beautifully simple, rewarding experiences for our customers and communities, and we're working hard to protect the future of Aotearoa.
At its heart, insurance is about helping people through the unexpected. Doing what's right for our customers - especially in tough times - gives real purpose to our work.
Reporting to the Head of Product, your day-to-day tasks would involve:
- Manage and continuously enhance Tower's House and Contents portfolio, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and risk appetite.
- Collaborate with teams across Product, Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, and Compliance to deliver innovative products and improvements that create value for customers.
- Use market insights, portfolio performance, and customer feedback to identify opportunities that strengthen Tower's products and keep them competitive in a changing insurance landscape.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead product governance activities, ensuring House and Contents products remain compliant, well-controlled, and aligned with regulatory and conduct expectations.
- Develop and maintain policy wordings, customer communications, and product documentation that deliver clarity and confidence for both customers and the business.
- Analyse portfolio performance, customer outcomes, and emerging risks to identify opportunities for improvement and make informed recommendations.
- Support the delivery of product enhancements and regulatory changes, coordinating implementation across systems, processes, training, and customer channels.
- Contribute to the future direction of Tower's House portfolio by evaluating new ideas, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping shape the product roadmap.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years' experience in general insurance, product management, underwriting, claims, legal, risk, compliance or a closely related discipline; House insurance experience is preferable.
- Experience contributing to product reviews, governance activities, policy wording or customer document changes, and the delivery of product or process improvements.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, assess options, and make sound recommendations that balance customer and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, collaborate, and explain technical or policy concepts clearly across the business.
- Highly organised and self-driven, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering quality outcomes in a collaborative environment.
We invest in you.
