Job summary

New World Mosgiel, part of Foodstuffs South Island Limited, is hiring three Produce Assistants to join our fresh-produce team. You will stock shelves, rotate stock, help customers, and keep the storeroom tidy while following food-safety standards.

No prior experience is required, and full training will be provided. A forklift licence is desirable but not essential, and overseas applicants require NZ work eligibility. Hours are Wed 11:30 am–5:00 pm, 32.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Overseas applicants must hold NZ citizenship, NZ permanent residency or a valid NZ work permit.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced produce environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with precision and rotate stock as needed.
• Assist customers with enquiries and provide friendly service.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace including storeroom.
• Adhere to food safety and workplace safety programs.
