Job summary

Taylor Preston, a modern meat export processing plant in Wellington, invites motivated, reliable people to join during peak season. We operate multiple shift patterns, including Mon–Fri with Saturdays as needed, or 7‑day rosters; a typical day is 9.5 hours.

Applicants must be available over the Christmas/New Year period. Preference given to those with knives experience or meat/food manufacturing backgrounds; full training is provided.

Job description

Taylor Preston operates a modern meat export processing plant based in Wellington. During the peak processing season, we employ up to 750 staff. We are a significant contributor to the Wellington economy.

We are looking for motivated, reliable people who are not afraid to take on a challenge in a fast-paced work environment.

Preference will be given to people who have had previous experience using knives, worked with meat products or food manufacturing but full training will be provided.

We operate different shift patters through out the year dependent on production requirements. These include Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as required or a 7 day shift roster 4 days on and 2 off or Day/Night shift. A normal working day is 9.5 hours.

We work over the Christmas / New Year period so you will need to be available to work.
