Job summary

Moana New Zealand in Porirua is hiring 4 permanent, full-time Process Workers for our wetfish factory as we enter peak season. These hands-on roles involve repetitive processing and packing, standing for extended periods, and maintaining accuracy to meet production, quality and safety standards.

Health insurance and paid birthday leave are provided. Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit team players who communicate well and are eager to learn in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory/production environment, FMCG/fresh foods and/or primary industry preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and reliable attendance.
• Be physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Process and pack products in a busy wetfish factory.
• Maintain product quality and safety standards while meeting daily targets.
• Work closely with teammates to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
• Follow established processes and health & safety requirements.

Our Opportunity

As we prepare for our peak fishing season beginning in October and continue to grow our operations and increase product throughput, we are looking to expand our team with 4 new Process Workers in our wetfish factory.

These are hands-on roles suited to hardworking, reliable, and physically fit individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. The work involves repetitive processing and packing tasks, standing for extended periods, and maintaining focus and productivity throughout the shift. As demand increases during our busy season, we need people with the stamina, commitment, and positive attitude to help the team consistently meet production, quality, and safety standards.

Working closely with your teammates, you’ll play an important role in ensuring product is processed efficiently, customers’ orders are fulfilled on time, and the team works safely and effectively together.

Ideally will have experience working in a factory/production environment; FMCG/fresh foods and/ or primary industry. You need good communications skills- verbal and written and have the natural ability to pick up new things quickly and effectively.
