Job summary

Inghams Chickens is seeking a Process Worker for a fixed-term role from December to February in New Zealand, Waikato region. You will be packing, sorting and preparing poultry products in a fast-paced secondary processing area. Full training is provided, so you can start with confidence and contribute to a busy production team.

Shifts include Day 6:00am–2:30pm and Afternoon 2:30pm–11:00pm. The role is full-time with paid training from day one, offering a summer work opportunity with valuable

Job Description

This fixed-term role runs from the beginning of December to the end of February, making it a great fit if you want to earn extra pocket money over the summer break. As a Process Worker, you will be packing, sorting and preparing poultry products for dispatch in our busy secondary processing area. It’s physically demanding, fast-paced work, and you will be part of a motivated team that keeps our customers supplied with deliciously good food. Full training is provided, so you can get started with confidence.

The Shifts

• Day Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm
• Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm

What You’ll Do

• Work on the processing line in your assigned area (full training provided)
• Handle and process poultry components with care and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, hygienic work environment at all times
• Follow all food safety, health and safety and quality procedures
• Work as part of a motivated team to meet daily production targets

• Physical fitness and stamina, as this is hands-on, demanding work
