Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a hands-on production operator to support a small team in the refining and deodorizing process. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with a mix of day and night shifts, and offers a competitive salary, subsidised medical insurance and company superannuation.

You will operate production plant utilities, work with HMI/PLC systems, and ensure products are manufactured to grade while maintaining optimum capacity and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven production or manufacturing skills.
• Experience with control rooms PLC systems / HMI systems is ideal but not essential.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour day and night shifts and be part of a team.
• High level of fitness and hands-on approach; follow safety protocols.

You will be working in a small team to help assist in the refining and deodorizing process. The role encompasses both the manual and automated process of refining oils. This position is full‑time at 40 hours per week, with a mix of days and nightshifts.

This a permanent role offering a competitive salary, subsidised medical insurance and company superannuation.

Duties

Operation of all utilities and production plant

Operating HMI/PLC system

Ensure all products are manufactured to grade

Ensure the refinery operates at optimum capacity

Administration of production and quality data

Fulfil responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

Skills & experience

Proven production or manufacturing skills

Experience of control rooms PLC systems / HMI system ideally (not essential)

Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and do both day and night rotations

Can a can-do attitude and willing to work part of a team

High level of fitness

Prepared to be hands on with a practical approach
