Job summary

OneStaff Rotorua is seeking an experienced Process Worker / Plant Operator to join a leading dairy manufacturing site in Tirau. You will operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of quality products.

This role is ideal for someone with dairy manufacturing or operational plant experience who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. Immediate start, competitive hourly rate, 4 days on / 4 days off roster, and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Operational plant or manufacturing experience.
• Dairy manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Experience with processing equipment (clarifiers, evaporators, dryers, blending systems)
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
• Leadership experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure safe production.
• Operate HMI systems and processing equipment.
• Run and monitor clarifiers, RO plants and evaporators.
• Follow food safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Complete accurate production documentation.
• Maintain health and safety and collaborate with the production team.

What We're Looking For

• Previous operational plant or manufacturing experience
• Dairy manufacturing knowledge preferred
• Experience with processing equipment (clarifiers, evaporators, dryers, blending systems advantageous)
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
• Leadership experience is not required
