Job summary

Genesis Energy NZ is seeking a Process & Control Specialist to strengthen risk management and implement efficient processes across the organisation. You will partner with business leaders to map processes, identify risks, and design practical, sustainable controls.

You'll coach teams to document and manage processes and controls, embedding a strong control culture. The role can be based in Hamilton or Auckland and requires collaboration across a large organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in external or internal audit, risk advisory, controls, assurance or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a large, complex organisation or professional services environment.
• Strong process mapping and risk and controls knowledge, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with confidence influencing at all levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to build capability to map key business processes and identify risks and critical controls.
• Facilitate process and control workshops and guide teams through control self-assessments.
• Provide expert advice and set the enterprise standard on process documentation and control design
• Review and challenge process and control documentation, identifying opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
• Analyse trends, provide insights and support reporting that helps leaders make informed risk decisions.
• Build strong relationships across the business, coaching and supporting stakeholders to improve risk and control capability.
