Job summary

Genesis Energy is seeking a Process & Control Specialist in New Zealand to strengthen risk management and optimize enterprise processes. You will partner with business leaders to map processes, identify risks, and design practical controls across the organisation.

You will coach teams to document and manage their processes and controls, embedding a strong control culture and ensuring robust governance. A background in audit, risk advisory or related disciplines is ideal, with strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience in external or internal audit, risk advisory, controls, assurance or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a large, complex organisation or professional services environment.
• Strong process mapping and risk and controls knowledge, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with confidence influencing at all levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to build capability to map key business processes and identify risks and critical controls.
• Facilitate process and control workshops and guide teams through control self-assessments.
• Provide expert advice and set the enterprise standard on process documentation and control design.
• Review and challenge process and control documentation, identifying opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
• Analyse trends, provide insights and support reporting that helps leaders make informed risk decisions.
• Build strong relationships across the business, coaching and supporting stakeholders to improve risk and control capability.
