Waitangi Treaty Grounds in Whangārei, North Island, seeks a hands-on Property Maintenance Assistant to support care and upkeep of our property portfolio. The 32-hour permanent role suits someone with broad maintenance experience who enjoys solving problems and working within a team.

Reporting to the Facility Services Manager, you will perform preventative and reactive maintenance across the estate, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and repairs to doors, windows and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in property maintenance or a related trade.
• Confidence using common hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Good practical judgement and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake preventative and reactive building maintenance across the estate.
• Minor carpentry, painting, plumbing and related repairs.
• Repair doors, windows, locks, latches, fittings and fixtures.
