Job summary

Radius Care in Christchurch is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility and grounds well presented. You will perform routine upkeep, minor carpentry, painting and redecorating, and coordinate with residents and management.

This full-time role requires a Trade Certificate or proven experience, a current NZ driver’s license, safety awareness, and the ability to manage external contractors. Fortnightly pay, rewarding team, and benefits come with the position.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or relevant experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and building systems.
• Experience in minor carpentry, painting and redecorating.
• Experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs.
• Organised, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Current NZ Driver’s License.
• Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to attend.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and grounds in good order.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, and redecorations per plan.
• Liaise with residents and facility management to resolve maintenance issues.
• Manage external contractors.
• Adhere to annual maintenance plan and safety standards.
