Job summary

Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) seeks a Privacy Advisor to provide guidance on personal information management and upcoming Privacy legislation changes within a dynamic environment spanning 16 regulatory systems. You will collaborate with MBIE leaders to embed privacy best practices and support services.

Based in Wellington CBD, this permanent position offers broad opportunities to develop expertise across privacy topics, with a mix of BAU work and capability building.

Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of Privacy legislation, policy and processes.
Well-developed written and verbal communication abilities, which allow you to convey key ideas and issues in a way that is suitable to the audience.
Strong relationship management skills and an ability to work well with others.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Provide privacy advice and support on a broad range of issues across MBIE’s 16 regulatory systems.
Work with the Principal Advisor – Privacy and other senior advisors to provide high quality and timely advice and support on privacy matters.
