Job summary

VPR in New Lynn is seeking an experienced print finisher with die cutting skills to join our family-owned packaging operation. The role involves operating Bobst and other finishing equipment, with opportunities to cross-train across finishing steps.

You should be detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable meeting multiple deadlines in a small, team-focused environment. The position is a dayshift from 7:30am to 4pm with an hourly rate of NZD 32–35.

Qualifications

• Experience in print finishing with die cutting.
• Knowledge of offset and digital packaging finishing processes.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt as cross-trained in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Finish packaging prints to required quality and deadline.
• Operate die cutting and related finishing equipment (Bobst, platen, cylinders).
• Assist with embossing/foiling as needed and support cross-training across roles.

• My client operates a family-owned packaging company in New Lynn and is located near the train station and has free packing close by.
• The company is looking for an experienced print finisher with die cutting skills. As they produce a range of offset and digital packaging for a wide range of clients, including the food and pharmaceutical, a person offering skills such as Bobst, platen, cylinder operating, embossing and / or foiling should also apply.
• As a person who takes pride in your work, you have high attention to detail, you are reliable and interested in a varied role as the company are prepared to cross train. You work well in a smaller company as you are flexible and are team oriented. You are used to working to multiple deadlines and are well organized.

• This is a dayshift, 7.30am to 4pm. The hourly rate is $32 to 35 ph. and is skills and exp linked. Note that a person who has had 2 years working on a print floor and is wanting to upskill in finishing should also apply.
