Job summary

Premier Business Forms New Zealand – East Tamaki, North Island is seeking a motivated individual to join our print team as a press assistant. Full training will be provided, with responsibilities including preparing jobs for the press, ink mixing, operating ancillary equipment, and supporting the Printer to maintain quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will show a strong drive to learn, a keen eye for quality, a positive can-do attitude, and solid written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Preparing jobs for the press ahead of time.
• Ink mixed and matched, and drawdowns presented to the Printer.
• Operate ancillary equipment and pack finished items at end of the printer.
• Support the Printer to achieve quality and output during day-to-day running.
• Assist in machine operation and set-up.
• Follow SOPs and assist in completing Print Jobs.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Minimise waste and maintain an organized work environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a keen and driven individual to join and support our print team as a press assistant.

Full Training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Role Responsibilities:

• Preparing jobs for the press ahead of time.
• Ink mixed and matched, and drawdowns presented to the Printer.
• Operate ancillary equipment and pack finished items of the end of the printer independently and efficiently.
• Support the Printer to achieve the best quality and output during day to day running.
• Assist in machine operation and set-up.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Assist in completing Print Jobs.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Ensure waste is minimised.
• Undertake housekeeping to continually ensure an organised work environment.
