Job summary

RML(NZ)LTD seeks a Precision Machinist to join our team in Hamilton, NZ. You will manufacture components for automation products using manual and CNC machining processes, working with an experienced team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

You will contribute to safety, efficiency and craftsmanship while mentoring apprentices and collaborating with engineers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality parts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manual lathes to tight tolerances.
• CNC machining experience or willingness to develop these skills.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in fabrication.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture components to precise drawings and specs.
• Operate manual lathes and CNC machinery safely and effectively.
• Produce quality components to tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet quality and timing targets.
• Suggest improvements to quality, efficiency, and processes.
• Mentor apprentices where appropriate.
• Maintain workmanship, safety and continuous improvement.
