Job summary

6am Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fitter/Turner with manual lathe experience for a role in North Shore, New Zealand.

In our machine shop you will contribute across a range of manufacturing activities, work to high tolerances, produce first-run and sample pieces, verify settings by measuring positions, and apply a continuous improvement mindset to help improve operations and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Wide breadth of production experience, including manual machining, welding and fabrication.
• Experience or exposure in pre-production environments where you have completed first-run, sample, and one-off work pieces.
• Good work attitude and happy to lend a hand wherever needed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Have a safe approach to engineering & manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and other regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work to high tolerances producing parts for production solutions.
• Complete first-run and sample work pieces, including verifying settings by measuring positions.
• Use manual lathes to produce parts to a high standard.
• Apply a continuous improvement mind-set, helping improve operations and efficiency.
