Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a skilled Machinist Engineer to create, modify and repair aerospace components with precision using manual and CNC machines. You will design and program machining processes with SolidWorks and Mastercam for FANUC-controlled equipment, delivering high-quality tooling and parts for aircraft reliability.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating manual and CNC machinery including mills, lathes, VTLs, and 3-/5-axis centres.
Strong SolidWorks and Mastercam proficiency for FANUC-controlled machinery.
Experience in one-off toolmaking with high attention to detail.
Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate manual and CNC machines to produce high-precision aerospace components.
Manufacture, modify and repair aerospace tooling and components.
Design and program machining processes using SolidWorks and Mastercam.
Deliver one-off toolmaking and repair solutions for complex engineering challenges.
Maintain quality, precision and safety across machining stages.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet project requirements.
