Employer Sponsored Jobs is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in New Zealand's Canterbury region to operate and set up CNC milling machines on one-off and small-batch projects. You will work with advanced CNC centres on diverse engineering tasks and produce components to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with strong CNC milling
• Ability to independently setup, prove and operate CNC milling machines
• Experience operating multi-axis CNC machining centres in a precision engineering environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Sound knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools and tolerances

Responsibilities

• Setup, prove and operate CNC milling machines independently
• Manufacture precision components to drawings and tolerances
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and workholding
• Perform machine setup, adjustments and program verification
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain high standards of precision, workmanship and safety
• Produce one-off and small-batch components across a variety of projects
