Job summary

PetVet Silverstream in Upper Hutt, Wellington is seeking a full-time Practice Manager to lead our dedicated team and support the continued success of our thriving small animal clinic. The role focuses on delivering exceptional veterinary care, quality products and outstanding service in a friendly environment.

You will lead day-to-day operations, manage rosters and administration, support recruitment and staff development, and work closely with leadership to meet operational and financial goals

Qualifications

  • Leadership or management experience within veterinary, healthcare or customer-focused environments.
  • Veterinary Nurse experience is ideal, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
  • Manage rosters, administration, stock control and facility requirements.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development.
  • Conduct team meetings, performance reviews and training initiatives.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration and client service.
  • Work with leadership to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Ensure delivery of outstanding patient care and client experiences.

PetVet Silverstream is seeking a full-time Practice Manager to lead our dedicated team and support the continued success of our thriving small animal clinic in Upper Hutt, Wellington. Our mission is to provide exceptional veterinary care, quality products, and outstanding service in a friendly and caring environment.

We are proud of our close-knit, supportive team and are looking for a leader who can foster a positive culture while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic.

What We're Looking For
  • A confident and approachable people leader who can motivate, mentor and support team performance
  • Previous leadership or management experience within veterinary, healthcare or a customer-focused environment. Veterinary Nurse experience is ideal, but not essential
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach to rostering, workflow management and team development
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members and suppliers
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in driving practice performance
  • A hands-on attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed
The Role Includes
