Job summary

Petfirst + Farmfirst Cromwell is seeking a qualified Veterinary Nurse who is ready to roll up their sleeves and join a high-performing, collaborative team in one of Aotearoa’s most beautiful regions.

You’ll provide gold-standard veterinary nursing, covering surgical nursing, patient care, and rural support, while fitting into a supportive roster and wide Central Otago network. NZ rights and a driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Veterinary Nursing with at least 2 years' experience preferred.
  • NZ working rights and a full driver’s license.
  • Confidence in patient monitoring and anaesthesia, with a desire to learn more.
  • Heart for teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate care.
  • The ability to adapt, laugh, and go the extra mile (especially for our four-legged clients!).

  • Work alongside an experienced team that shares knowledge, asks questions, and genuinely has one another’s backs.

About the Role

Your week will include 40 hours, plus occasional Saturday shifts and weekend on-call duties, shared as part of our supportive roster. You’ll report to the Clinic Coordinator and collaborate closely with our wider Central Otago network.

What We're Looking For
  • A Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (and at least 2 years' experience preferred).
  • NZ working rights and a full driver’s licence.
  • Confidence in patient monitoring and anaesthesia, with a desire to learn more.
  • A heart for teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate care.
  • The ability to adapt, laugh, and go the extra mile (especially for our four-legged clients!).
