Job summary

DX Mail is hiring a Casual Postie and Driver-Whanganui to deliver mail across the Whanganui area, starting with sorting at the branch and moving to motorcycle delivery. You will be the face of the company with a focus on excellent customer service.

The role includes early starts, occasional flexibility on hours, and driving duties for freight and mail collections. Applicants should enjoy outdoor work and value health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean class 6 motorcycle license (Learner, Restricted or Full).
• Must have a clean class 1 NZ driver’s license (Full).
• Enjoys working outdoors in any weather.
• Flexible and reliable.
• Physically fit and active with a can-do attitude.
• Passionate about keeping customers happy and safe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mail from the depot across the Whanganui area and be the face of the company with strong customer service.
• Sort mail at the branch and operate motorcycles; early starts and finishes; flexible arrangements can be discussed.
• Support as a Driver in collection and delivery of freight and mail within the Whanganui area and liaise with the team.

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our DX team as a Casual Postie and Driver-Whanganui

You will be the face of the company as you deliver mail from our depot across the Whanganui area. Being customer-focused, you will provide an excellent level of customer service, building rapport and relationships as you go.

As a Postie you'll start your day sorting mail in our branch for delivery. You will be operating Motorcycles, early starts and early finishes are the norm; but we can also talk to you about more flexible arrangements.

For the Driver part of the shift, you will support as a Driver in the collection and delivery of freight as well as mail from various locations within the Whanganui area. You will also liaise with the team and support them where required.

What we're looking for…

• You must have a clean class 6 motorcycle license - Learner, Restricted, or Full
